St. John XXIII OFS serves the Davidsonville and surrounding areas, and is in the St. Margaret of Cortona Region of the National Fraternity of the Secular Franciscan Order-USA
The Secular Franciscan Order belongs to the Franciscan Family and is “formed by the organic union of all the Catholic fraternities, whose members, moved by the Holy Spirit, commit themselves through profession to live the Gospel after the manner of St. Francis in their secular state following the Rule approved by the Church” (Const. 1,3).
If you are interested in learning more about Franciscan spirituality, or possibly find yourself discerning a call to the Secular Franciscan Order, please join us. Inquiry is open to all Catholic men and women not members of another religious order or secular order and 18 years or older. Candidates must be practicing Catholics faithful to the teachings of the Church and loyal to the Apostolic See.

Our Fraternity Meetings will be on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm in rooms 10-11 at Holy Family. [Those of you who are inquirers or in candidacy are strongly recommended to attend as many of these as you can. Your absence should be exception to the norm.]
Our Formation Meetings will be on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm in classroom 15. [Those of you who are inquirers or in candidacy must attend these meetings. They are planned for you specifically. When you are absent you have to make it up and this inconveniences others who are already attending three meetings each month. Illness and family emergencies are exceptions, of course. They are excused, but still have to be made up.]
Our Fraternity Council Meetings will be on the last Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm in classroom 2. This meeting is only for the professed members who are council members. These meetings are generally open, and if you want to attend you may.
